The Association is non-profit. It shall not be for pecuniary or financial gain, and no part of its assets, income, or profit shall be distributable to, or inure to the benefit of its officers or members except to the extent permitted under the applicable laws of the State of Ohio.
The Association is non-political. No part of the activities of the Association shall be the carrying of propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the Association shall not participate in or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
Non-Discrimination Policy
PASUSA shall adopt a Non-Discrimination Policy This policy shall ensure that funds and/or goods distributed by the organization are used for their intended purposes and by deserving recipients.
PASUSA does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation or relationship to officers or members of the organization in its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, selection of recipients and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. Recipients of PASUSA’s funds and goods will be determined by rules laid down and not by affiliation with board directors or officers or members of PASUSA.
Conflict of Interest Policy
As a nonprofit tax exempt organization, PASUSA shall follow a Conflict of Interest Policy. The board of directors and officers of PASUSA shall commit themselves to work for the organization with an unbending duty of loyalty and fidelity. These persons shall exercise the utmost good faith in all transactions involved in their duties, and they shall not use their positions with PASUSA or knowledge gained therefrom for their personal benefit. The interests of the organization must be the first priority in all decisions and actions.
Accountability
PASUSA sees the maintenance of an organization’s tax-exempt status as important both for its continued financial stability and for public support. Therefore, as a public trust, PASUSA shall endeavor to subject its activities to scrutiny by and accountable to governmental authorities as well as to members of the public.
